Hi
We are buying are DVC annual passes ahead of time and have a few questions. Do they send us a voucher for the pass? Do we activate them when we get there? I know we need to show our adult ID to activate them. Do we need to show our children ID? Do we have to bring birth certificates for our children? THNAKS!!

We purchased our DVC APs in early June. We received vouchers (plastic cards) in the mail in about a week. We exchanged those for APs at the International Gateway outside Epcot on 6/23. My wife and I were required to show photo ID. We did not have to present anything for our two kids. We were also not asked for our DVC cards.

But you certainly could have been asked for it (and I bet you had it along, anyway). :)

DVC members should plan on having to show their blue membership cards when exchanging their DVC AP/PAP vouchers for the actual pass.

Best wishes -

Question...I tried to buy on line yesterday at Disneyworld.com and could not find any way to get the DVC discount. Could someone help. Carol :earsgirl:

I believe you need to acces that discount through the member site.

Go to the members only site and click on member perks. When you go to the information about the AP discount, there is a place to click to buy the passes.

You can also just call MS and they will help you.

Best wishes-

Thank you all sooo much. :cheer2: I was trying to also get the Discover 5% cash back bonus but I emailed them and they said you had to purchase at the merchant??? Does anyone know anything about that. :confused3 :earsgirl:

Yes, we definitely had our DVC cards just in case. And I believe I read somewhere that you would be asked to present them, but I'm not sure why because if you purchase the passes in advance, you've already paid for them and received the discount. At Guest Relations you are just verifiying your identity prior to getting the actual APs so I'm not sure why they would want to see the DVC card.

We were asked for our DVC cards in February when we activated our passes. I think it just depends upon which CM is helping you.

We'll be staying at BCV in November so I am happy to see that we can just walk over to the IG for our APs. Can you purchase them right there and then or can you only order them in advance and then exchange them there. Also is this the area near the turnstiles where you would enter Epcot through the back way? Thanks.

You can purchase the passes right there. We ordered one in advance in order to get the info needed to get the DDE card prior to our trip. When we got there we activiated the annual pass we had and we bought the rest that we needed. Adults needed ID and the children didn't. We did need our member cards, but that could have been since we were also buying.

Does anyone know how long we can get the AP discount? I'm going "home" in November, maybe I should go ahead and order?

I think anyone that can afford to should stock up on these. They don't activate till you use and who knows when they will pull the discount. I think it's the best perk we get.

Yes, the Guest Relations window is on the right just before the security check and the turnstiles.

I think it's pretty much guaranteed through the end of the year. The member website says 2005:

>>>>Walt Disney World Annual Pass Discount Now Available!
Disney Vacation Club Members and their immediate family (living in the same household) are eligible to receive discounts on new and renewed 2005 Walt Disney World® Annual and Premium Annual Passes.<<<<<

what does it cost to renew our pass through dvc? I see that there is a discount on renewal but what does it cost?
