DVC Annual Pass Vouchers

I'm planning on purchasing the DVC Annual Passes, but have some questions first. I'd like to get the voucher since then it was start the day we activate it, I don't want the year to start until 12/10 when we arrive for vacation. We're planning another trip the beginning of Dec 09 with DH's cousins, so the AP would really pay off for us (as long as the trip ends before 12/10/09). Do I have to go through MS for this or can I purchase through the website? Also, will they let me purchase just one at a time? I'd like to save the money every couple of weeks and just purchase each one as I have the money for it. Has anyone done this before? Is it possible?

I'm not 100% sure, but I think you have to order through member services to get the discount, or at a park where you show your DVC card.

As for the date, the AP period starts when you exchange your voucher at WDW for the actual AP.

And yes, you can purchase 1 at a time. Be aware you can only purchase DVC discounted APs for members of your immediate family, living in your house. If I recall from previous posts, even if they live with you, it's limited to like mom & dad, and kids or something - extended family were not included. That information is on the DVC Member website.

I just purchased a voucher on-line through the DVC website. I printed the voucher on my computer. I paid the DVC discounted price. You will have to bring the voucher along with your DVC membership card and photo ID to redeem for the annnual pass. if not you'll be charged the differance.

Cool, thanks for the info guys. Buying them one at a time would be easier, and I can then start to get some of the passes for us before (heaven forbid) any price increase! I'll go through the webstie for it.

We purchased our AP at AK on our check-in day. Since our room at AKV was not ready yet we took the bus over to AK where we encountered no lines at noon and then the next day we were ready to go. We were also able to purchase the DDE there also. Even though we were on the DDP in June the card has already paid for itself. I see even bigger savings when we go back in December.
