DVC Annual Pass Question

Sorry about that ...we got back late last night from WDW and I'm still a little jet-lagged!! I did ask at guest relations there and, while they were trying to be helpful, I got the feeling that they would rather let DL figure it out . (Our passes expire there first ) I also knew I could probably find an answer here, so , thanks again!

Wait..no, I won't get the savings then....

All of the various WDW Annual Passes are unique products each with their own price point. Since they are all unique products, there is no price bridging and you will get credit for the price paid if you upgrade an annual passes to a higher level annual pass.

The various WDW Annual (and Premium Annual) Passes are broken out by: FL Resident, DVC Member, Charter and Tourist. These are further broken out by new and renewal and then adult (ages 10 +) and child (ages 3-9) (child prices are the same as adults, but there is still an child category).

Charter pricing is only available to those that purchase a WDW Annual Pass when they were first offered and have renewed them every year since.
The Tourist category is those that don't fall in to the FL, DVC or Charter categories.

Only Magic Your Way (MYW) tickets are eligible for price bridging (with a few exceptions).

Great explanation. Makes sense. I had wanted to buy the Premier when they offered the DVC pricing but couldn't get to either park to make it happen during that time .. Now , I will look at it as having pre-paid that portion of the Premier and now only need to cover the additional cost. Thanks for taking the time to explain it so clearly.
