DVC Annual Pass Purchase???

We are looking at a 4 day trip in October 2020 + 10 days in mid summer 2021. Is annual pass the way to go? If I purchase now can I activate at the October 2020 trip or is there a limit on when you must activate annual passes purchased as DVC member? Annual pass is new to me so any advice is appreciated

Yes, you can buy now at today's prices. Activate when you arrive in Oct 2020. Just link the AP number to your MDE account to book fast passes 60 days before the trip. Just remember you need a blue member card and all adults must be on the deed or live at your address, with photo ID that show that in order to activate the passes. Have a few great trips.

Are you getting the discounted gold AP? If so, a 4 day park hopper alone is 500 give or take. the AP is like 700 for a new one. If you are not getting the discounted gold AP, the math is going to come out a lot closer.

Not totally positive, but pretty sure 10/20 is fine for an AP bought now, it would be activated the first day you scan into a park.

The annual pass with discount price is $699. You'll get a voucher. I've done this in the past. It's always wise to consider the discounts can change and the prices go up. When we buy annual passes, we plan as many trips in that year to get the most out of them. I always figure at least 10 days. The other discounts usually overlap with the DVC discounts as well so there's no real advantage to that.

When you purchase it, it should show up in your MDE account right away and linked to the person you assigned it to. This should let you make fastpasses, if it doesn’t show up call Member Service.

Yes. I just bought ours recently. When you buy, you have to specify a person. If theyre already in your MDE party, they show up in the drop down to select. After you purchase, you’ll get a confirmation code too in case you need it.

when I went in later to MDE, linked APs we’re already in place with each family member. i didn’t need to do anything else.
