We are very tempted in buying AP's and have a question. I have two regular passes from 2001 that have 1 day left on each pass. If I purchase an AP or, say a 7 day pass will they credit me what these passes are worth?
If they will do this, do you know if the Disney stores will credit me or do i have to be in the parks? Thanks so much for the help!!:goodvibes

I have heard that Disney will credit unused days towards an AP purchase. However, this can only be done at the parks. You cannot purchase a DVC AP at the Disney Store. This, also, can only be done at the parks with your membership card and photo ID.

If I wanted to purchase 7 day hopper passes instead of AP's, will they still apply the credit from my unused 2 days?

During a recent call to MS to make a reservation, we were told that they (Member Services) are able to sell the DVC-discounted AP's as well. Not sure if they can work with the upgrade from a used ticket, though. Its worth a call to MS to be sure.

I have received credit on passes in the past, but they were one day passes that were never used, and I received full value for the ticket since it was not used. You can only receive credit at the parks. I inquired about getting a credit for a 10 day PH with plus options that had 4 days remaining and the amount they were going to credit me was not worth trading them in. You would think that they would be worth almost half of what I paid, but they were barely worth anything. This is because the first day you use is worth more than the second day, and so on. In my opinion you will be better off keeping those 2 days for a future use (they are probably worth $10 or $15 as a credit). Take the tickets with you, but I would have a backup plan just in case you decide not to use the credit.

This is excatly what I was going to say. Especially 4 or 5 years ago. After 4 days on a ticket, the rest became cheap! Hang on to those 2 days for a future trip, they may even be park hoppers. I had some old park hoppers that I had 3 days on, I bought those back on 3 trips, we needed to hop one day, per trip. I had purchased 10 day MYW non expiry- non hopping, then used my old park hoppers. Any thing to save a dollar.
