In the past i've pre-bought our a/p online and collected upon arrival. I have a question regarding our next trip, we are going in December for our sons 10th birthday, we will arrive on his birthday.

So if i pre-buy a 3-9 y/o ticket, but the day we trade in the vouchers for his AP he's actually 10 will i need to trade it for an adult pass and pay the extra or will I be able to pay the child price for him.

Just wondering

if he is 10 at the start of the trip he is 10 if you trade in his pass the day before he is 10 he is 9 for the trip.

Yes you pay the 10 year old price for a 10 year old.

Hmmm....if he wasn't born until the evening and you trade it in that morning, then could he still be 9?

;)

There is that - and I'm sure the time zone adjustment would also help some:thumbsup2

What if you buy the child AP for a 9 1/2 year old and they go on a trip during that year in which they are older than 10, are you suppose to pay the difference for an adult ticket?

According to Figment's FAQ, Disney does not charge a child for growing up. Disney will exchange a used child ticket for an adult ticket at no additional cost.

It appears a voucher is not a used ticket with remaining life, so the paid upgrade is needed.

It all depends on the first time you use the ticket. If your child is 3-9 on the first day of your trip, he is 3-9 for the rest of the trip. If your child is 10+ on the first day of your trip, he is 10+ for the rest of trip.

So given the difference in price, it may be worth it to go a day early!

They won't ask for proof of ds age. If you are talking about a day there will not be an issue unless you want there to be. I would say let him be 9 for this vacation and hereafter he can be 10!
