We did not have our airfare booked yet when I made our ressie. I can just call MS and let them know our flights so we can get ME - correct?

I find the online form to be much easier than calling. You also get an email confirmation that shows exactly what they booked. (Nice to see it in writing.)

I especially use the web site when we have people coming/going on different dates and flights.

I have an additional ME question. I will be flying Southwest and I think I heard they are not a particiapting airline for ME. What does that mean? Something to do with luggage?

When you leave the resort to come home, you will have to take your luggage with you on the DME bus.

I believe it means that your luggage won't "magically appear" in your room but that you have to schlepp it to ME yourself. From some of the stories of delayed luggage, this might be a good thing. :goodvibes

That is incorrect. All "incoming" luggage will get transported if you tag it with the DME tags. We use SW quite a bit to fly into orlando. Now, you don't have to tag it, from what I understand. But, now you have you go wait for it to show up and then take it over to DME. At that point, it is like using Mears pre DME.

However, you cannot check in to your flight at the hotel. You have to take your luggage with you on DME and go to the desk like you usually would.

Of course, with Southwest, you'll want to check in online 24 hours in advance. If you wait to do it at the airport, you'll be at the end of the line and probably sitting in all center seats.

If you don't bring a laptop with you, you can ask at guest services and they'll let you do it from there.

When you get to the airport, you'll need to check your luggage in at the counter.

Well, we almost always take one of the laptops with us when we travel. Especially shooting RAW on my DSLR. :thumbsup2 Now, with the "free" Internet access, checking in early is no biggie.

We did go computerless our last cruise. But, I had my iPhone, so we were able to check in via that method as well. ;)

In fact, I think since DME has existed, I have only flown into Orlando via Midwest or SouthWest, so I have never used the hotel flight checkin.
