I know that most of the park tours give DVC member discounts, however, what is the best way to book? Is this something that I should have MS do for me or should I call the tour number?
I'd call the tour number. They will be able to apply the DVC discount. Also, if you have an AP I believe that in some cases the discount is a little more than the DVC one.
Yes, just call the tour number and tell them you are a DVC (or AP member). When you check in for your tour, they will verify your DVC member card (or AP if you go that route).
Usually the DVC member and AP discounts are 10% when available. The Disney Rewards Visa card may have a 15% discount on tours. I always call the tours number to book. I first ask if there's a Disney Visa discount, if not I ask about a DVC/AP discount.
