DVC and the 2021 Anniversary

I’m not aware that Disney have announced any exact plans for next years anniversary. I realise that October will be the anniversary month, but am also working under the understanding that the parks and resorts will be crazy for the majority of that month.

Do you think it’s likely it’ll be a year of celebrations and not actually just confined to the month of October and the ones after? I’d love to visit towards the end of the year (to guarantee everything is finished and completed) but having a hard time predicting what Disney will do! It would be cool to be at any planned parties or events and to buy some merchandise etc but what with Halloween events at the same time it’s a really packed schedule.

What form do you guys think the celebrations will take? And how hard do you think DVC stays are going to be, even at the 11 month mark?

I think they'll milk it or a while, esp since school is in session. I'm definitely booking the actual anniversary day at 11 months. It falls at the end of our trip. I've also never been to F&W or MNSSHP, so there is a lot of incentive.

I'm sure there will be a handful of events on the exact anniversary date. But the vast majority of DIsney celebration type promotions last 18 to 24 months.

I think us year 1 buyers should be given some perks. How about 3 FP+ for any ride, including RoR, for every day of your stay.

We HAD been going 3x a year with our last trip being this past Sept. but decided to back off this coming year and start thinking of going less often (due to AP prices and unknown timing for the opening of new rides etc., among other things going on in our daily lives). We're HOPING that most of the new rides will be open by the actual anniversary date and figured that Disney is probably aiming to get everything open by then. Just last weekend we decided it was time to start planning ahead a little bit. We know it will be crazy busy next year but we went ahead and booked a week for this Oct. when we'll buy new AP's then we'll plan for the last week of Sept. for NEXT year so we can be there on Oct 1st. Since we own at SSR I'm assuming we'll be able to book it OK at the 11 mo. window since it's "almost always available" and since we like it there we're totally fine with staying there (unless the refurb there has a drastic affect on room availability). But definitely booking right at 11 months. Some special DVC perks throughout the next year would be nice. We'll have to buy our new AP's by Aug. 4th in order to make FP's so fingers crossed maybe they'll cough up some sort of incentives to go with the celebrations.

Hi!! Yeah, I've been AWOL for awhile. Life got super busy with work and I just don't have time to sit around on the internet anymore! I see some DVC groups on FB and that's about all I have time for.
