DVC and Premium or Platinum Dining?

So, we usually use TIW but I am considering the premium or platinum package for our upcoming split stay because it is a milestone anniversary and we had our honeymoon at Disney so I am wanting to do something special. I am having trouble from the WDW determining the specific differences between premium and platinum (surprise! Disney's website is not all that user friendly! ) Have you done either one? Thoughts? Also, do you just call member services and they add it or do you really have to book a package to qualify?

I don't believe either of these options are available using DVC points. I believe you have to be paying cash for the stay to use either program and for the higher level one you need to be paying cash at a Deluxe resort.

You can only book the Quick Service plan, the regular dining plan or the Deluxe dining plan. The other plans must be purchased as part of a package directly through Disney (and that wouldn't include DVC points).
