DVC and mousekeeping question...

Ok, can somebody clarify something for me?
We just got back from SSR, and we only had service on our fourth day, out of our eight day stay....we had run out of toilet paper, and when I called the front desk, I was told that they would replace it on the fourth day....

On the FIFTH day, after I called to complain, they did come and replace the TP and towels, but they gave us ONE roll.
Keep in mind we had been operating on one roll from the beginning of the trip., so it''s not like they had given us more to begin with.
We were four people...
As this was our first DVC stay, is this how it works when you are a member??:confused3
Just want to be better prepared next time!!!
I will bring more TP and tissues. :laughing:
 
I am sorry to read about the poor service you received. You should NOT have to be dealing with this on vacation. There have been reports about TP being given out a roll at a time. Ridiculous. You can have as much TP and tissues as you need. Next time I hope that more is stocked in your room, but if not, call Mousekeeping and ask that more be brought NOW to your room. If there is any hesitation by the person on the other end of the phone, ask for a manager. No DVC member should be hauling around paper products. That's what dues are for.
Hope your first DVC stay was better in other ways!
 
We've always had extra paper supplies in our rooms at OKW. The OPs situation seems really odd and unusual. I wonder if they are being stingy for some reason? I know when working at a video store years ago, some customers would actually steal the additonal rolls of TP, so we had to stop putting extra rolls in the bathrooms and keep them in a locked storage room until they were obviously running low.

DVC owners should not have to pack or purchase additional paper products.

I at first thought there was some mistake, there only being one roll and all...:confused3
But after calling for it to be replaced, they STILL only gave me one roll, and we were there for another 4 days!!

With the dues that we pay, this should not be an issue.
 

For future travelers if you need more tissue do not call the Front Desk, you will not get them and you will not get any tissue, you will get the Disney Call Center. They do not listen.

Call Housekeeping from your room; on the phone there is a button for them, they will bring what you need.
 
We had problems with the scheduling of housekeeping on our 13 day stay - they did a full clean on our 3rd day and trash and towel on our 8th????
When I called housekeeping, she said it was on our reservation - I checked, and yes, there it was. She said they are pre-appointed and if you don't like the schedule you are given, just call and request the changes you want and they will change their schedule. Just thought I'd share that new tidbit - check your mailed out ressie and change it if it doesn't make sense to you!
 
With the success of the free dining plan, toilet paper is one thing that should not be in short supply.
