Question.... Most established DVC'rs who bought 10-15 years ago at places like BCV, VWL and BWV and who no longer have school aged children, do you aviod the holidays at WDW? I'm sure Christmas is still popular but what about Easter and President's week?
We are hoping for a two bedroom at VWL for 2009 Presidents week and I fret the chances are unlikely.:confused3 What do you think?

Its always been our practice to avoid the busy season at WDW. That's simply because we don't like the long lines and the extra number of points it takes to stay at DVC during those periods. However, there are a large number of DVC members that do have small children/grand-children and can only go during those times so you'll find the DVC resorts just as hard to book then.

One of the good things about being "empty nesters" is the ability to avoid the Holiday and other busy seasons. Not only do you get to avoid the crowds, but you can avoid the worst of the heat and humidity.

Since you are worried about getting a reservation for 2009, I assume you don't own at VWL and must use the 7 month window. (If you own VWL, you will not have any trouble reserving if you use the 11 month window. You shouldn't' even have to call day by day).

While there's no guarantee, I think you have a good chance of getting President's week at VWL using the 7 month window if you call day by day and are willing to risk waitlisting as needed. Good luck!
