dvc and groceries and yet another question

Is there a grocery/convenience store located near Downtown Disney? We are staying at Saratoga Springs this August and I just want to be prepared for various emergencies, such as running out of milk, or Coca-Cola, or worst of all diapers (oh, the humanity). Can anyone offer any insight? Has anyone used the grocery shopping services, and can you get ahold of them and get deliveries during your stay as well, as just when you arrive?

And on a second topic, we booked our vacation the better part of 3 weeks ago, and have not yet received our confirmation in the mail yet, should I be worried?

Like the other DVC resorts, SSR will have these types of convenience items for sale on-site, so you will not even need to go as far away as DD. Prices will be higher than at a regular grocery store, but not all that much different from prices at Goodings at the Crossroads Shopping Center. You pay for the convenience.

If you have a car rented for the trip or take a taxi that will let you stop at a supermarket, there are several near to SSR. There is also a really big Wal-mart in Kissimee.
The shop in the resort has most of your needs at about the same prices as convenience stores, so if you can't travel you can still restock the basics.

There is a gas station across from Downtown Disney that sells the basic convenience store items. Don't know about diapers.

Instead of going to Goodings, turn left at the Crossroads light and go about a mile, there is a Winn-Dixie on the right, right after the ABC Liquor store. They have much better prices than Goodings.

You better call about your reservation-3 weeks is way too long. I would suggest you ask for another copy, you should have received it by. You can get the things you list like others have said right at the general store at SSR.

And they Have EVERYTHING...including pool toys, a pharmacy and a nail salon right next door!!
