DVC and FL. Resident Pass

Do we get the DVC discount for the purchase of our Fl. Resident pass also?

The price for our passes right now for Fl Resident, is $350.

No - the DVC discount cannot be combined with the discount on the Florida Resident Pass.

The adult DVC AP is $348.00 (plus tax), so if you choose to get that pass instead of the Florida Resident pass, you'd save $2.

Yes, that is correct. Total price (incl tax) for the adult DVC-discounted annual pass is $370.62. The adult DVC-discounted Premium AP is $483.51, including the tax.

No black out dates for the DVC annual passes.

Only DVC members that actually live in FL when they are not staying at DVC resorts are considered FL residents. If you read your documents, it will tell you that we will never be considered FL residents merely by our DVC ownership.

If you're a Florida resident, check the Florida Resident Seasonal pass before you buy. It's about $100 less than the DVC Discount AP.

I don't have the exact blackout dates in front of me, but they are basically Easter Week, early June to early August, and then just before Christmas (like the 23rd) to just after New Years (2nd-3rd).

If you can handle those blackout dates, the Florida Seasonal Pass is a real money-saver!

Seasonal Blackouts 2008: 1/1/08-1/4/08, 3/15/08-3/28/08, 6/7/08-8/14/08, 12/21/08-1/3/09.

Blackouts have not been a problem for our family. The dates are normally peak season and it is either too busy or too hot!

Excellent point. Thanks for sharing. Since she mentioned she was a DVC member, I assumed she would be on-site.

We do pay for parking on most day trips, although occasionally we get it reimbursed with our DDE (when applicable).

Last year I calculated the costs and came out ahead by paying for parking several times and using seasonal passes.

You have that backwards. The DVC AP price is less then the FL Resident price. Renewals are the same price.

No, there is a FL Resident Seasonal Pass, which DVC members do not get a discount on. But there is a FL resident price on the AP & PAP that is approximately the same as the discounted DVC price. The prices I quote are the additional savings that FL Residents get on the AP & PAP using the DVC discount. No additional savings on renewals.
