We're debating whether to purchase a Disney Club card for our upcoming trip. I tried to get a comprehensive list of DVC member discounts, but I can't find one.

Does DVC offer discounts at:

1)Dowtown Disney
2)Fantasia Gardens
3)Any restaurants in the parks or at DD
4)Golf Discounts at regular courses

Are the DVC discounts greater than with Disney Club?

Any help would be appreciated and if anyone knows a site where comprehensive lists of both discount packages are listed, we'd love to see that, too.

Thanks in advance!

RyMickey

As a DVC member you are entitled to discounts similar to the Disney Club as most of the places you mentioned. For a list of available DVC discounts, visit the DVC member web site at http://www.dvcmember.com . (If you do not know the user ID and Password, you can contact member services) Once logged into the site, click on "Member News" and then "Special Member Offers" (all on Left hand bar)... You will be presented with a long list of discounts available to all DVC members.

The Disney Club discounts are very similar to the DVC discounts. I have both and sometimes question why I need to keep Disney Club, but I like the Disney Magazine, so I have kept it. If you are a Disney Club Member, you can get info on ALL types of available discounts at their web site which is http://www.disneyclub.com

Hope this helps,
Chris

DVC doesn't offer any store discounts at DD- just at some of the restaurants. DC does offer a 10% discount at World of Disney.

DC also provides a discount (about 5%) on Annual Passes and Hopper passes. DVC offers a 10% discount on Ultimate Park Hopper passes (purchase at the resort at check-in).

DVC does offer discounts on some resort restaurants, but not in the theme parks.

We have no problem getting our DC membership $$ back in value received ...or our DVC! ;)

Enjoy!

One of the reasons I keep Disney Club is the small discount on all types of passes (about 5%). The DC discount on an AP is $15, so buy 2 and you've saved the $30 renewal fee. DVC has no discount on AP's or Park Hoppers, which is sad. Disney Club also offers 10% off on National Car Rental, although lately they have been giving 20% plus one free weekend day. Plus the magazine, which I was getting anyway.
