DVC and dining

Are DVC members eligible for free dining when it is offered? If so, can that be transferred to someone renting dvc points from a member? Looking at possibly renting points for our August trip. We are currently booked at POP (hoping for FD). There are 8 of us so I'm thinking staying at a dvc might be a better plan and cost would be similar but I don't think I could give up fd.

Point stays are not eligible for free dining.

Free dining is only offered with a full price room package through CRO. You could get a DVC resort through CRO and still get free dining (if offered).

You have to pay cash to Disney to get free dining. Renting a reservation from a member or a member using their own points does not get you free dining.
