We are renting points to stay at BLT for 1 night. My question is :

Can we get either the premium or platinum dining plans while renting points?

Do we still have to get the park tickets with the dining plan? I think I remember reading something that if you are on DVC you do not need to buy park tickets. Is that correct?

thank you!

you do not have to purchase tickets, and I would imagine all plans are available.

The person you are renting from will have to make the request and full payment at the time of booking the dining plan.

No you cannot add the Premium or Platinum plans to a points rental. Those are not dining plans, but a different animal that requires the purchase of tickets and a rack rate room through Disney. On a DVC points reservation, you can purchase the regular dining plans though.

The information is all above, but just to clarify, since there are two separate questions here:

1) Platinum and Premium all-inclusive plans are only available with MYW resort package stays -- you cannot book these plans with a DVC points stay or an annual passholder ticketless package.

2) DVC points stays may add QSDP, DDP, or DxDP to their stay (or any segment of their stay) without a ticket purchase.
