DVC and Dining Plan

Okay I have a question. My friend and her boyfriend are going to Disney in November and they are using her parent's DVC points. They were originally going to just buy it and try to get free dining but her parents finally said they can use their DVC points that were going to expire. Well now they would still like to get dining. I know they can't get free dining but is there any way to buy the dining plan and if you can, how do you do it? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

The owner of the points can add and pay for the dining plan by calling MS.

It's the same price as for regular guests, but without the holiday upcharge.

The booking and paying for the dining plan must be done at least 48 hours before check-in.
