We are new to DVC and planning our first DVC trip in Nov. We will be doing a split stay 3 nights out of pocket and 3 nights DVC. As a DVC owner can I purchase the DDP for the 3 nights not staying at DVC (1st 3 nights of trip) if not purchasing MYW package or do I have to wait until checking into the DVC resort?
Non DVC stays follow the cash reservation rules. You can book non-DVC stays as before or you might check and see what the DVC discount price is if staying at a DVC resort. You might also consider renting a DVC reservation from an owner.
My understanding is that you can get the DDP in a ticketless package, but you have to call. I'd suggest going over to the Dining board and asking about how to arrange that there .
