We are hoping to book one of the 2013 cruises on the Wonder/Magic when the itineraries come out. We don't have enough points for both passenger 1 and 2 to use points, but are strongly considering buying more points in October and would have the points available then.

1) I'm concerned that if we wait to book until October there won't be DVC cabins available.

2) The point charts are based on double occupancy. What happens if one passenger uses points, do you have to pay for the other passenger right away, or can you leave it with just one person booked into the room?

3) If we pay a single supplement in points if we had just one person in the cabin, and added the second passenger for points later, would they just charge the difference?

4) If we used points for the first passenger, and cash for the second passenger, could we use points for that second passenger later and get a refund?

Thanks in advance! Trying to figure out how to secure our spot on the boat the best way possible. BTW, considering either a WB transatlantic or a late 2013 WB Panama Canal cruise.

1. That you have to make up your own mind on.

2. You can book one on points and one on cash, at the time of booking. You must pay full price of the cash person at the time of booking.

3, If they allow you to book one and then another later (I do not belive they will); you might NOT be able to book the person onto the ship due to the munster station for that room filling up. If a munster station fills, DCL does not allow anyone else into those rooms.

4. I do not think so.

We have a cruise booked for this April. We used points for DH and I and paid cash for our 2 kids. As PP stated, we had to pay in full for the cash guests at the time of booking. I personally wouldn't take the chance of booking 1 person in the cabin now and then waiting until Oct. to add the other person. But that is up to you. I also don't think you can pay cash then change to points later. You would need to ask MS. Good luck.

Keep in mind that anytime you make a change to the reservation, you will be charged the $95 fee again.

DVC has the ability to waive th $95 fee, which they've done for me at least twice in the past... So ask, all they could say is no.

If you book one person on points, how do you know what the cash price would be for the other person? :confused3 We don't have enough points for 2 people, but have enough for one, but I would need to know how to calculate the cash price for the second person to decide if I wanted to do this. Thanks!

DVC will be able to quote you the price when you call and inquire/book. Keep in mind that the 1st and 2nd person cash rates will be higher than the 3rd and 4th passengers. For me, my 2nd person cash price was $1400 with my 3rd being around $900 for a 7 day cruise... Also the season that you book will also factor into the overall cash price..
