DVC and DCL Cash Ressie

I am a brand new member and this is my first post.

Thanks for all the great insight and info! My question is around DVC members that pay cash for a DCL reservation. Do you get any acknowledgement onboard? Not a big deal, but saw lots of magnets, lanyards, and hats on the cruise I signed up on, and was wondering if that was only for those that used points, of if somehow they knew cash customers.

We have booked 2 cruises as DVC members on cash. Honestly, I do not remember anything special for us, but hopefully someone will chime in with better information.

So, where is your new home at??

I was thinking that may be the case. I still have my magnet etc as I signed up on the Western Cruise this past October so I can still show my pride!

My family are proud of our new home at AKL. I can't wait until December 2nd when I can try to book for the night after our DCL week next year!

I went on the cruise in Jan 07 with my cousin, a CM. They had a magnet on our door, and a bag in the room with some DVC lanyards, points charts, info on the member gathering thing they have on board. I also received an invite to the gathering thing on the fish the day before.

I was really shocked. My cousin was the main person on the reservation, since it was booked through the cast portal. It was a little unnerving to know that they KNEW I was on that ship! LoL

How cheap is the member cruise if paying cash???

We were definitely recognized as DVC members on our cruise that we paid cash for. If somehow they miss you you could bring that to their attention and they would get you your magnets and other little giveaways. We all got lanyards, hats, and I came home with about 20 pins!

As far as "how cheap is the member cruise if paying cash"-I don't think "cheap" is the right word!!!

How cheap is the member cruise if paying cash???

You would need to call MS to see what (if any) categories are still available for the Member Cruise. The Member Cruise will definitely be more expensive for both points and/or cash however. Other regular 4 day cruises would save you some $$.
