Okay, this may be complicated, but I'll try to explain as succinctly as possible.

My mother and I are looking into becoming DVC members, hopefully this year, but maybe next. Her best friend would be in on this too, with the three of us splitting the cost amongst us. We are all avid Disney fans and becoming members would be the most logical thing for us.

Now, I was looking into APs and noticed that DVC members get a discount. The catch is that it seems that only the DVC member and his/her family are eligible for the discount and that family member has to live in the same location. For me, this isn't a problem as my mother and I still share a home. But her friend does not.

My question is this: will we all be considered DVC members and thus be eligible for the discounted pass? Is there anyone out there that is a DVC member in this same situation? Can there be multiple owners of a DVC membership?

I hope I posed this question properly. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Like any deed or real estate transaction, there ca be multiple owners of a DVC membership, and each owner will get a membership card that can be used for the AP discount.

The problem with multiple, unrelated owners is that if, for some unforeseen reason, one party has financial problems and declares bankruptcy, the DVC is considered an asset.

Understood. But barring any unforeseen circumstances, I don't foresee that being a problem. And she has been a friend of the family for a long time, which actually makes her family, if you know what I mean.

Anyway, thanks for the answer. It is what I suspected, but I just wanted to be sure.
