DVC a secret?? I dont think so!!

I know there have been posts here before about how DVC is no longer a "secret" because of all of the marketing and billboards around WDW and DL but what I saw today really proved to me that the word secret is non-applicable!!

In Southern California there is an upscale shopping area in Hollywood called The Grove. Today my husband, boys, and I went down there for a nice afternoon and while I was there I saw two marketing/advertising signs for DVC!! It caught me off gaurd because I'd never seen such advertisement outside of Disney.

I'm a proud DVC owner and I'm not an elitist but it just bothers me when people try to "B.S" others and I feel like the word "secret" is just that....BS! Why not call it what it is and have a slogan like "own a piece of the magic" or something that DVC actually is.

Sorry to vent but now that its out of my system......

They're playing commercials in the Chicagoland area! I was soooo surprised to see it the first time. I knew it wasn't NOT being promoted outside of Disney properties, but on TV? I was shocked!

We honestly couldn't wait for the first "real" welcome home, but on our last trip as non DVC members, everyone was saying welcome home. I think the secret is out and it's a little disappointing, but I'm still looking forward to my first "real" welcome home in August!

Yep... someone (Disney) should have registered it as a salesmark or something.
