DVC 8th year Christmas Tree, Sharing a Little DVC Holiday Magic

I had read where some people hang lights on the balcony. Does anyone know if you do that at AKL?

My guess would be no hanging lights on the balcony at the AKL/AKL Villages.
I would think this would fall under the, no throwing anything off the balcony & no feeding the animals rules. I would say if you have a parking lot view you could hang lights, but I remember seeing the same rules for the parking lot view. Plus AKL probably doesnt want anyone to start a tradition of hanging lights in the parking view rooms because the SAV view may say, hey if the parking lot view can why cant we.

I think you are getting a tree! Did you look at page 1? That show's who is on for a tree and who is waitlisted.

That's what I thought too...Just didnt want to get too excited...This is going to make things so much easier for me...I am heading down on 12-21 with myself, my 5 month old DD, 7DD, 12DD, and 14DD, my husband can't join us til 12-23. I was going to bring a tree with and then ship it back before we got on the cruise line, now I have less things to worry about!!! Yeah!!

I am going to be at Jambo donating a tree. I know there is a wait list for Kidani and I will have a rental car so I offered to bring the tree over to Kidani. I think wdwstar is waiting to see how the donating trees work out before finalize it. Not sure how all of the dates are going to work.

Jambo could have more people needing trees or if someone donated a for Kidani I could bring the tree to a different hotel.

Hi! This will be our first holiday trip and we're sooooo excited. I'm fairly new to this, but would be very interested in borrowing a tree for our stay! I was actually thinking about decorations and this sounds like fun! Are the decorations provided for the tree or do we need to bring them? Also, as far as the donation goes is it just money for shipping or should we contribute something else as well?

We'll be staying at AKV - Kidani 11/26 - 12/5. I noticed on this list someone has it coming in on the 4th. We'd be willing to give it up a day sooner to accomodate!

This is GREAT! We are owners at BLT and taking a quick pre-Christmas trip. We will be at BLT Dec. 11-15 although it appears that a tree is not available until the 12th, which is fine.

This is a great idea and we are so lucky to participate
