DVC 7th Year Christmas Tree Sharing a Little Holiday Magic.

To clarify, I am donating a Tree to AKV. We are staying at THV.

This is my first year on the DIS . And i'm a DVC member and i think this is amazing . But we went resort hopping last year around the holiday's and i got out voted they wanted to stay at pop Instead of my home resort Boardwalk.
do they do this for the other resorts to , or is there another thread for them someone could share with me ??? Please Thank You

We love them both, but have friends going who have not seen Kidani and we want them them to experience it.

I am getting excited about participating in the tree swap. Any info I need to know about participating in this. Will there be more instructions as we get closer? I am the first one in my tree swap. Also, I was a little concerned b/c there is quite a gap of time btwn me and the next swapper. Is the tree going to be ok for that length of time?

I also need everyone else to keep sending pms to confirm your dates, resort and i need your first and last name for the tree box.
if i dont have your name by the time we close this thread around the first/second week of Nov. i will have to remove you from the tree list.

I thought I would bump this up! I am getting excited about participating! I was wondering how everyone's trees were coming? Do most people do a theme or go traditional? I was just looking for a little update b/c my countdown is getting closer and the excitement is starting to build!

I think most people will do the theme like the resort that the tree will be going to.

If you have not pmed me your first and last name for the tree box please do so, I will would like to start putting things together in the next two weeks.

Dont forget we run into thanksgiving and it will take an extra day or two for shipping the trees. more info to come soon!

I went and bought our tree and decorations, yesterday. Now, I'm trying to figure out how to pack it for the Beach Club. I had intended to ship it fully decorated, BUT . . .

It's a 4 ft. tree and in two pieces in the box. Any suggestions?

I need to find a bigger box, anyway, in order to have enough room for the tree and decorations, but it just seems safer to ship it undecorated. That is more work for the recipients, though. What does everyone else do? Decisions. Decisions.

Does BC charge you for your shipped packages? I'm sending my family a tree and was wondering. Also would you suggest FedEx or UPS? Thanks. Wished I found the tread earlier.
