DVC 6th year Christmas Tree, Sharing a Little DVC Holiday Magic

BWV Tree #2 shipped and should arrive on Friday:cool1: :santa: :cool1:

I hope that I included all the important info for keeping the exchange going. :scared: this is my first exchange and I want to do things right.

Please be sure to know that Robmags donated the ornaments:goodvibes (except for the ones DD and I made-you'll be able to tell:laughing: )

:santa: :santa::dance3: :santa: :santa: getting excited about Christmas at Disney

For our tree exchange- Please keep the original packing material-the young man at UPS had a bear of a time packing that box to not use peanuts :)

Thanks Bopsmom for donating BWV Tree#2. We arrive on Saturday and can't wait to set up the tree and add that holiday touch to the room! And thanks Robmags for donating the ornaments! There might just be a few extra small surprises in the box when you both get it. Happy Holidays!

I don't have time to read the thread, but how is packing the box back up and sealing it handled? I remember two years ago having to go buy tape to seal it back up!

I don't know about anyone else but I packed scissors and tape in the BWV #2 tree box (got your back Robmags;))

My first thought was, but how do you get the scissors and tape in the box after you seal it up! :lmao: I guess you cut the tape BEFORE you seal the box!?

lol I did that one year... had the box all sealed up with the tape sitting on the counter. :rotfl:

Now I say in my instructions to tear some tape off before tucking into the box for the trip home.

My family will be surprised to see the BCV tree #1 this Sunday!!! I'm heading out to find something to include in the box for others.:goodvibes

I bought 2 rolls of tape here:rotfl2: one for the box and one to seal it-actually, the ups guy sealed up the box for me so I gave the other roll to a guy that really needed it;)

I guess I really didn't get that far along in my thinking-heck I was lucky to remember to buy tape.

OK BWV #2 GUYS! don't forget to pass along the tape!

Where are you all finding boxes large enough to put a decorated 3' tree in? :rotfl: I've been scouring the Wal-mart aisles as shelves are being stocked and haven't had much luck so far. Do UPS stores have boxes large enough for sale?

If you look at my larger box, you will see it's TWO of the smaller boxes one over the other one to get the lenght I needed. HTH

Yep, actually the UpsStore guy told me to ship in 2 separate boxes: one with ornaments and the tree in it's original box. I wanted to put everything in one box but, to get a box big enough to to get the tree in would be about $60.00 to ship because of the size. If your tree is still in it's original box (mine was) then label and send it as is and ship the ornaments in another. He even copied my printed labels so I could attach them (with my tape:lmao: ). I :lovestruc my UPS store Guy.

Here in Houston,

There is a place that sells all different sizes of boxes. I bought one the other day for all my tree stuff and it was $3.48 for a 12"x12"x48" box.
I will be getting VWL #1 tree ready this weekend and will be sending it out next week.

Jim.

Are they tree's not already decorated? The one we had two years ago was, everything was glued on or something. Just pulled it out of the box and we had a tree!

Ours(BWV#2) isn't but it is pre-light and there are ornaments to choose from...I don't think it will be too much trouble to decorate a tabletop size tree considering how much we(those donating and shipping the trees) are saving you to not have to pack/ship your own tree and ornaments or buy one from the florist in Disney.
