Yeah ... pick up your button (I got one inside DCA on Friday), enter the Sweepstakes (open to all members), print your Digital membership card, watch the mail for your new plastic membership card and maybe find a photo printing op over at the Preview Center ... but that is all I see for DLR.I see the button and I guess maybe the photo thing? Although, that's not even at the Grand Cal or in a park- it's totally out of the way unless someone is purchasing. I only see events for WDW?
For dining/shopping discounts, the CM only looks at the card and are supposed to ask for a Photo ID. They don't have a way to verify if the person is in fact still a DVC member and eligible for a discount. By adding a expiration date, those that sell will at some point no longer be able to use their DVC card for discounts. Why is there an expiration date on the member card?
Does anyone have an idea of how many people they will admit to the DVC Member Bash parties at the Magic Kingdom? We signed up the morning it opened. Wondering if they are still accepting reservations or if it filled quickly. Can't wait!
What's interesting is that the hours for Magic Kingdom have been extended from 9am-9pm to 9am-10pm on Feb 25th, the night of the first member bash. So what effect will that have on the crowds, and will TPTB even try to keep it DVC members only? It sure will have an impact on the first hour when it comes to the rides, imho.
That's interesting! Just a few days ago the park closing was listed at 9 p.m. On the flip side, this allows DVC members who are only coming for the party with no tickets to ride Big Thunder or Splash or Pirates before the park closes.
DVC members can enter the park starting at 7pm so they will have ample time to take in other rides.
From the event details page:True if you have park admission, if you don't you can only get in at 9:30pm.
Clearly states that you can enter beginning at 7 PM without separate theme park admission.Event is from 9:30 PM to midnight; Members and their guests can enter the park as early as 7:00 PM
..
Complimentary admission to the after-hours event at Magic Kingdom park is valid for the duration of the event, which begins at 9:30 PM. If you wish to enter Magic Kingdom park before 7:00 PM, valid theme park admission is required.

No. As I said DVC members will be allowed into the park at 7PM on this event admission.
If one had regular park admission they could go in even earlier but that is not what I was talking about.
Well. There goes that idea for those of us with younger kids. What's interesting is that the hours for Magic Kingdom have been extended from 9am-9pm to 9am-10pm on Feb 25th, the night of the first member bash.
