DVC 1,000 Point Club (2025)

This 2025 use year is/will be our first year having all of our 1060 points after joining this club (some partially stripped resale contracts when we first bought)

We have mostly finalized (I think 🤣) our bookings for the year now and man, having 1000+ points to play with really is something else!

I renewed our 2 passes with points, have a 6 night Grand Villa trip in Oct/Nov (BWV/BLT), 6 night 1BR trip in early Dec (RIV/AKV CL), 6 night 1BR stay in Jan (all BCV or BCV/Poly Tower TP view, I have both reserved right now), and a 4 or 5 night studio stay at VGC in April.

And it looks like we will still be banking points this year! (70-130ish depending on if we use the BCV or Poly Tower TP view for the other half of the Jan trip.

I could get used to this! šŸ˜ (and I may have to. I was asking my wife, what about a studio here or here..."I really like having the extra room in the 1 bedrooms" Good thing we have points! lol)
One week in an Aulani GV in June is 938 points.

Very easy way to use our 950 Aulani points…

For fun just did some math with @MrsNVDISFamily. Assuming we were retired and decided to go on a crazy all out FL/WDW bender to burn 3 years of points (bank and borrow FTW) all in one trip, if we stayed at an OKW 1BR we could check in on 1/1 and not check out until almost the end of July (7/30)...... Fun to dream.

Although I know I will get some AUL points one day the high charts are one of the things stopping me from buying there. I'm trying to say I only need enough to make the trip on a every 3 year cycle, but I also think I'll need a 3BR and 2BR (or 1BR) for at least 5 nights so it's still a fair amount of points.

As long as you are willing to substitute a WDW trip, you’re probably fine @ 7m outside of June and holidays.

That's likely going to be our plan for a few visits to Aulani. June is a special month for us due to the kids school schedule and it's also when @MrsNVDISFamily decided to put up with me so at some point getting those points will be good in the future :)

Two public school teachers here. :). But we’re DINKS so that helps with affordability. We also live in a modest condo. Grand villas are much bigger and nicer than our home.
Wow! We are also two public school teachers and I thought we were doing pretty well at 34 years old and 500 points šŸ˜‚šŸ˜… We have two kids, though, and daycare alone for just one kid costs almost $20k a year…

You're doing great! No way we could have afforded that many points at that age. We're in our early 50s - much different place on the pay scale now. So happy for you and your family with so many magical trips ahead!

No... direct!

We just had a CA summer vacation and back to the Disney parks there after 15+ years. We spent most of the time offsite near the ocean but also a couple of nights at VGC on the back end. Probably more Disney activities than we initially planned, but it was hard to pass on the pricing of the 4-day tickets for the 70th DL celebration compared to 2-day tickets (and we also did the D23 Burbank tour).

We thought it's hard to beat the BLT walk to MK, but park turnstiles inside the resort is a whole other level! We've previously talked our son out of the Kali River Rapids with the excuse that he'll get soaked and we didn't have a change of clothes or dry shoes, but it's hard to argue against the Grizzly River Run at 9:58pm with the room being 2 minutes away...!

So when a guide was able to find us 50 points, the heart wanted them even though based on a financial analysis (which looks at point rental rates, not hotel rack rates) the price is very hard to justify. Probably for the best that it's only 50 points though... It may also come at the expense of 100 direct PIT I was contemplating if the right incentives came up, but if the stock market keeps hitting new highs, you never know... :-)

Love it! Congratulations!

VGC is amazing!! Congrats šŸŽ‰

Well, we've officially eliminated one of our three use years by selling off 890 points across four contracts. We're now at 4,075 points, down from our all-time high about a year ago of 5,965. No change in resorts.

Congrats @macman123 on taking over the top spot! I've updated the list.

Speaking of comma club, did anyone come up with any cool slogans or prints for t-shirts?
