DVC 1,000 Point Club (2025)

We have 4 contracts across 3 use years (based on when we likely travel where) that we purchased over a 3 year period. I prefer large contracts and have zero concerns about resale costs because I have zero plans to ever sell them.

Our contracts I order of purchase: 600, 500, 240, 200. None are for SAP- all for home resort access. I like what I like and don’t want to waste my energy in the hunger games at 5am (PST) at 7 mos.

We gift probably half our points on guests, friends, clients, and strangers. Which brings me joy behind the cost, It’s never enough points but always plenty of dues. I think we have one more purchase of prob 300-500 points at a Epcot resort since we are in our RunDisney era, but man those dues increases at the current rate stay my hand which is prob a good thing.

Yeah, the dues really start to add up. But my husband and I are experts at justifying buying more contracts.

I'm at the same spot. We own 970, and I don't plan to do any horse trading in this down-priced resale market.

Finally a member of this illustrious (crazy) club...closed on a 25 point BCV today, taking my total to 1010 points (all same use year).

My ex-husband and I bought BLT when it was first selling, sold it in the divorce and I missed DVC ever since then. It was kind of symbolic for me when I bought 135 points AUL resale all on my own after eight years of rebuilding my life and my finances. This enabled me to buy 200 points AKV direct during the fire sale last summer. I hadn't planned on doing this as I was about to close on a 300 point VGC contract at the same time (live a little more than an hour from Disneyland). I thought I was good, but the VDH FOMO was real and I signed on the dotted line for 200 points direct. A quick stay in the grand villa showed me that I hadn't bought enough VDH causing a 150 point add-on. I then sat sadly on the sidelines holding 985 points for a year or so until I finally pulled the trigger on the BCV contract. I would love to be done, but I realize I can't do anything with 25 points at BCV (other than join this club), so will likely add on there if I can find the right contract. My only regret in all of this is not just buying 350 VDH at the owner pre-sale...would have brought my price pp down.

I have bought only in places that I want to stay...not convinced this is the correct strategy, but it seemed the safest bet to me. I never thought I would buy this many points, but I have four kiddos who now think they shouldn't have to share a bed, so the 2 bedrooms chew up points fairly rapidly. Add in a Poly bungalow stay and a couple nights in a grand villa and they're gone!

LOL, exactly the same boat. My 4 won’t share either! In a 6 month window before 12/31 I have 1600 points spent or reserved. I just hope I can make it till my April 2025 use year before I run out of points!

I was the last multi-resort owner that didn't own an Axx, Bxx, or Cxx resort...but no more.

1,665 now with our add-on at BCV:

• 430 RIV
• 420 PVB
• 340 VGC
• 175 VDH
• 150 VGF
• 150 BCV

Probably another add-on coming this year, too.

I’m going from 970 to 900
i just accepted offers on 30 BCV & 40 SSR DVC contracts. From a $/Point perspective I think I fared rather well. Small point contracts are advantageous in that regard. And these sold quickly : I listed them on Wednesday afternoon and they sold this (Friday) morning.
I will post the details in the ROFR thread, once the process plays out.
NOW - I had to promise the DW that I would NOT go hunting for a 100-Point contract, regardless of how attractive
Maybe next year I will make a run at joining this club ?

I think I saw multiple small point contracts…. the 60 pointer had me tempted…. I’m very glad it wasn’t in my WDW UY.
