DVA and Dues

I think my brain is on vacation. Are the numbers you give them an actual GC number or your DVA account number which they process as a GC? Thanks so much Kat!
You just tell them you are paying with a gift card and they process it just by the numbers. There is nothing that they look up with DVA.

Not the poster you asked, but yes - ours are more than $5,000 and I planned on trying to put all my GCs into my DVA and pay over $5,000.

Does anyone know if the new gift card limit rule for paying annual dues is 5 total gift cards can be applied to your dues or 5 per transaction with member accounting? Our dues are $7698 (addonitis runs rampant in the household) and we were planning on using the DVA and pay it down $1000 per day over a few days which would result in using more than 7 "$1000 gift cards." On the upside we will be saving a little over $770 on annual dues this year since we discovered the Raise/Target hack on the Budget Board :cool1:

Load all gift cards to DVA, call Accounting, tell them you want to pay each contract in full with a gift card, read them your first member number if you have multiple, read your DVA account number to pay for each contract, do this for each contract you have, write down confirmation number they give you for each payment, request $20 bonus (looks like you'll get 7) immediately after your last transaction, enjoy the rest of your day. Should take no longer than 5 minutes to pay ALL your dues IN FULL on ONE day once you get through. Absolutely zero need to pay down $1,000 per day over a few days. :)

Tell MA you want to pay with a gift card and then provide them your complete 16 digit DVA account number. They will ask no further questions and will provide you a confirmation number.

Yes, you just give them the DVA account number and tell them it's a GC.

Thank you for the responses. So this will work in one transaction with a "gift card" that is over $7000 even though there are no Disney gift cards that are over $1000? That would be awesome!

I just called and used my DVA. When she asked how much I was paying, I gave her an amount that exceeded $1000 and she didn't question it. DVA applied to my dues already.

Has anyone tried telling MS that they are paying with a Disney Rewards card from Chase Visa, then giving them the DVA account number? I wondered if this works better because there is no $1000 limit to the Rewards card. -- Suzanne

I called and gave my DVA number. The CM said "oh, I didn't know you could have more than $1000 on a gift card." I just said oh and then she said I will try it and it worked.
