Duration of Monorail Resort Loop

We will be staying at the Contemporary on a very short trip and are trying to fit in riding the monorail for some first-timers in our group. We plan to take the monorail resort loop around, either with no stops or with a stop at the Poly for dinner. We have little ones with us, so I am trying to estimate the length of the monorail trip and, in particular, the Poly-Contemporary return portion.

Because there is no boat alternative (or at least not without getting off at MK to switch or walk), I’ve also thought about walking back from the Poly if we take strollers. I don’t remember much about the one time we did that though, or know whether that is even possible currently.

Any thoughts are appreciated!

You can't walk from the Poly to the Contemporary, you would have to walk on a busy road. No sidewalks.

Thanks. I guess that makes the monorail the best option all the way around. It is just a matter of whether stopping for dinner makes sense.

Any estimates about the duration of the monorail are appreciated.

A complete circle will take about 20-25 mins. You can gat a boat to the MK from both the GF and Polynesian. The route for the boat is MK to GF to Polynesian to MK.
It shouldn't be an issue hopping off to grab dinner and then back on to return to the CR.
