Duplicate threads

I have notice that lately there have been numerous threads about the same topics. When you make a topic do you look to see if there any similar post. Or do you just post?

I used to use the old functional/embedded Search function all the time to find if anyone had already posted about a subject, but now?...since I don't get useful results from BoardTracker, I don't feel the need to use it. I might look around the first page or so to see if the subject hs previously come up, or if I'm feeling really ambitious I'll do an advanced Google with "disboards.com" as the site parameter, but even then sometimes I won't get all the posted thread results.

If its a "hot" topic" I will read two pages back to see if anything is posted.

There's nothing more we can do without the search working properly. I am not going to search for things on this board through google.

I find multiple threads happen a lot on the planning board- I think its a lot of new comers who don't read through the first page before they post about park hopping.

But, generally, I'll peek at the first page, but mostly, I'll just post

I check the first couple of pages. If I post and then realize it's already been posted, I'll put a link to that thread in my thread. It's fine with me if my thread isn't "The One"...I post to impart information, and if no one feels the desire to discuss it, it's fine with me; if they want to discuss it on another thread, that's fine too.

I usually try to go back a couple of pages. I actually made it all the way back to Page 4 and to your thread this evening as I had a little more time on my hands.
