I cannot find my license for the life of me and have to get a duplicate...will they give me a hard time with it if I also bring my birth certificate and marriage license??? Thanks for any help!!!

Are you talking about going to DMV and getting a legal duplicate license with photo? I wouldn't think it'd be a problem.

If it's a temporary license without a photo you may have a problem. If you're lucky they'll just do additional security BUT they really don't have to let you board with a gov't issued photo id.

Getting a replacement license should be just like getting a renewal....it is just a new piece of plastic.

It is the same exact thing as my license only instead of saying renewal at the bottom it says duplicate...still has the photo and all. Although I know at a liquor store they need additional ID when you have a duplicate license.:sunny:

1) Should be no problem getting a new driver's license, with photo.
2) If you cannot, there is a rfemedy.

3) Per the TSA website
If you have a paper ticket for a domestic flight, passengers age 18 and over must present one form of photo identification issued by a local state or federal government agency (e.g.: passport/drivers license/military ID), or two forms of non-photo identification, one of which must have been issued by a state or federal agency (e.g.: U.S. social security card). For an international flight, you will need to present a valid passport, visa, or any other required documentation. Passengers without proper ID may be denied boarding.

If your state has ID cards, get one when you get your duplicate license. I have both an IL drivers' license and an ID card. I use the ID card at the airport. My drivers' license stays in my purse and the ID is in a holder on a lanyard I wear around my neck.

This way I don't worry about losing my drivers' license.
