definately Dounkin Doughnuts! I had Starbuck's 1 time and never again, it was way to strong

There isn't a Dunkin' Donuts for miles around here in California (can't remember if I've ever seen one!) I'm def a Starbucks girl - or if I really want STRONG coffee, I'll go to Peet's.

I don't drink coffee, but the ones in my family who do prefer - Dunkin Doughnuts.

I don't drink coffee or eat donuts. But I do drink tea and it's hard to beat Starbucks. I don't think that DD has tea do they? So there's no reason for me to go in there except to get unhealthy donuts which are better at Krispy Kreme anyway. :)

Definitely Dunkin Donuts - just had a Coffee Coolatta!!! :drinking1

Definately Starbucks. I love strong coffee. I live in Portland, OR and Starbucks are everywhere. I don't think I've ever seen a Dunkin Donuts.

I don't know if there's any DD in Texas nowadays either. I know that there used to be but I think that they all disappeared. Maybe it's a regional thing. :confused3

I love DD lattes but don't get them because of the calories and cost. I did notice that they sell skinny lattes at DD now, I'll have to try one.
Anywhere you go you should be able to order a latte with skim milk. That makes it much lighter and I think that the milk tends to froth better with skim milk, anyway. If you take sugar you can use sweet n' low or splenda.

I drove back to the Starbucks/Dunkin Donuts intersection at 2:20 and there were more cars (3) at Starbucks than DD's (1). This made me consider if it were a function of time. Are Starbucks 'non traditional coffee" drinks more popular in the afternoon? Then I see that DD is picking up points and is possibly gaining on SB.

I will go to Starbucks every time over Dunkin Donuts. I don't care for DD coffee.

my boyfriend's mom gets 10lb bags of dd coffee from the company store (yes, she works for their corporate company). she's got 2 in her closet at home. i've honestly never had the coffee, but she (and my parents) swears that it's great. we've got a lot of small coffee places in the area i live, so i usually go there for something if i'm in the mood.

now starbucks for peppermint mocha... mmmm....

the McDonalds thing about better beans - ewwww - I have had their coffee and I am finding that hard to believe.....

:wizard:

LOL - didn't say they processed them the best!!!

If I had to choose, I'd go with Starbucks over DD. DD's coffee is too weak and watery for my taste - I prefer a really dark, strong coffee (and I only drink decaf!). I think of Starbucks as the "McDonalds" of the gormet coffee crowd - very processed and standardized. It's great if there's not a reliable coffee shop around, but if I get a chance I'd pick Peet's, Caribou, or Seattle's Best over Starbucks. Better yet, my small, locally owned corner coffee shop where they learn my name and my favorite drink and let me hang out for hours!

I have had DD in illinois and loved it. Here in NJ I have never had a good cup of anything from DD at any one anywhere. I love Starbucks. But I'm a barista for a competitor in the summers. We studied the beans and the way starbucks roasts is considered inferior, and designed to have folks hooked on starbucks. I love starbucks though.

I didn't vote because I don't really favor one over the other. If I want a strong cup of joe I head to Starbucks, otherwise I hit up DD. But around me DD is not always reliable. Sometimes it tastes awful For specialty drinks like lattes I go to Starbucks. But overall I love Panera's Cafe Blend. I am lucky to have in one shopping area near my house on my way to work, Starbucks, DD, and Panera, so I almost always get Panera. I have noticed that DD is always the most crowded though.

Well I live in the Boston area so of course there is a Dunks on every corner. I am a tea drinker and I do make a point of getting it at DD. Krispy Kreme did not fare well in our area, one just went under and I think it was here less than a year! Starbucks here are far and few. I suffer from Dunks withdrawral when in Florida, SO FEW!! :scared1: Although they do pop up as time goes by.
