So what is the process for figuring out how to review the RCI site knowing you want to use DVC points. Do you need to register on RCI or is there a DVC link to go through?

And once you identified a property, how do you reserve with DVC points?

You identify the property you want to stay at. Then phone members services. They check and tell you its full and offer to put you on the wait list.

If you're attempting to reserve anywhere where any one else wants to go, then your waitlist wont come through. Make sure you are only attempting to reserve somewhere off season.

RCI member services or DVC member services? Sounds like you have not had good experience.

DVC member services.

you are not actually an RCI member, DVC as a corporation is the member. (so if you call RCI, they would not consider you a member.)

edited to add: you can still look at the RCI resort directory...but DVC may restrict you from booking some of those resorts...
