Okay....maybe this sounds lazy but.....

We just bought a little piece of OKW, and are very excited about going "HOME" for the first time at Halloween. We never rent a car. Before now, we've always stayed at POR. Here comes the dumb question.... Does OKW have Bell Service to/from the rooms?

I'm not exactly known for "packing light" and since we don't rent a car to park right in front of our building..... it could be a realllllllly long walk with all the luggage?

P.S. Has anyone ever been there at Halloween? Can you tell me about MNSSHP?

Thanks!

Yes, they will take you to your room on extended golf carts.

Have not done OKW at Halloween.

....well I hope not, anyways, cuz I was wondering the same thing.

I'm excited about staying at OKW for the first time (home resort is VWL).
We'll be there the week of Halloween too!!! See you there!!

My 2 1/2 yo DGD thought the golf cart was the first Disney ride! She couldn';t wait to tell me about the ride in the big truck. LOL.

Just wanted to let you know that we recently stayed at VWL and OKW and DH fell in love with OKW! He's actually watching vacation videos with me and I recently had to buy a new bedspread and he wanted a certain one because it reminded him of OKW. Not saying he disliked VWL, but I've never seen this enthusiasm from my formerly "Disney-tolerant" DH.

Happy Day, Autumn Girl!!

I almost forgot to tell you about MNSSHP.

It is a total blast!! The park is more crowded than an E-night, but not so much that you can't get on the attractions.

The park is all decked out for the holiday. Main Street is a little bit spooky. Haunted Mansion music (and other scary music/sound effects) is playing over the speakers. There are photo ops set up for the holiday.

You will be given a Trick or Treat bag when you enter the park. The brochure/map for the event will have locations for where to get your treats. There are fortune tellers in Adventureland. There is a Boo to You Parade for kids to participate in that starts in Fantasyland. I think there are 3 parades a night. Cinderella's coach is set up behind the castle surrounded by pumpkins and CHARACTERS!!

There is also a parade (which I think runs twice during the event) of floats used EXCLUSIVELY for this event. And the headless horseman is galloping about as well.

Lots of folks dress up. I'd say that all the kids did and about 3/4 of the adults did. We saw, of course, lots of Disney themed costumes as well as original costumes. I went as a "Generic" FairyGodmother last year and will probably do a variation on the theme this year.

You will have sooooo much fun!!!

Happy Haunting!
