Dumb Question: what is Etsy?

I see you all talking about about your great finds on Etsy. What is it exactly?

It's a website where you can purchase handmade and vintage products. They have a ton of wedding items up there. And generally, since the items are sold by individuals, the prices are low and the quality is very good. Anyone can buy or sell (kind of like ebay for vintage and crafty items).

My partner asked me this recently the best way I could think to answer him was it's like Ebay just for crafts people

Its kind of like ebay but with handmade and vintage items. A lot of sellers who handmake things will make items on demand to your specification. I love it very exciting and you will loose hours on it - you can have a look around it without registering.

It's certainly not a dumb question. Coming on this forum is sometimes like coming into the middle of a conversation. Everyone is already in the know, except you. Good for you for asking because I'm sure a bunch of others were wondering.

NOT a dumb question... I had not heard of it before reading here either. But I am addicted now and have purchased a couple of items already (my "something blue" charm for the bouquet and a ringbearer disc) with plans to get more. Tons of great wedding items as well as non-wedding related things.
