A tip I learned here on The Dis was to drizzle some dishwashing soap on a sponge, let it dry, cut it into squares and then use it to wash out things like a refillable mugs. When I mentioned it to my wife, she said we should buy one of those dish washing thingys (Technical term! ) where you put the soap in the handle.
Another tip I learned is to take some dishsoap along. Next time you use a travel size bottle of shampoo, save the bottle. Rinse it out and put some dishsoap in it, and take it along with you.

Most of the refill stations have a "mug wash" - a small sink and faucet to rinse your mug. No soap though. If you wish to use dishwashing soap, you'll need to bring your own (I'm usually in a DVC villa and it's provided for us). If I'm not changing beverages, I just rinse it out as I'm the only one who drinks from it.
You will not be able to exchange a dirty mug for a clean one.
DW and I usually have a wonderful vacation. Thanks for commenting.
We take our own coffee cups along. The little styrofoam cups in hotel rooms/lobbys don't cut it for us sometimes. So by taking along some dish soap, it's usually enough to wash our coffee cups for the amount of time we're there.
