If we are staying at ALL STARS,,the WDW bus picks us up at the hotel and drops off at the parks right?we are doing AK and MGM....DH says bus wont take us right to the parks,,,help!!!!

WDW Buses will take you to the parks from the All Stars, not a problem!

DH is WRONG! ALL buses run at least 1 to 2 hours after park closings and the same for park openings, there is even a very early bus for early character breakfasts. YOu will not be left behind, if there is no bus when you get to the bus stop they will call one. Have fun.

The best is at the MK you do not have ride the ferry or Monorail you get dropped off by the gate. You can not get directly from resort to resort. but you can go non-direct routes.

DW is WRONG! The buses all run at least 1 to 2 hours after park closings (including the EMH evening and mornings) and have even a special character meal early bus. If you get to the bus stop after closing and there is no bus they will call one. Go with no worries. The buses are very reliable. Have fun

Tell DH you win on this one. Seriously, transportation from the All Stars is very easy. You just wait by the sign of where you want to go- MK, Epcot, AK, MGM, DTD/TL. BB shares with one but I don't remember which. One caveat is that when leaving the parks at closing some of the busses will be going to a specific All Star so make sure you get the right one or it may be a bit of a walk. In addition, depending on where in the complex you are, 'your' All Star may not be the closest bus. When we were in Mighty Ducks at Movies, we often got off at the Music stop.

What the bus system doesn't do is take you directly to other resorts on property so if you have a PS at one, you need to go to a park first. For instance with Chef Mickey's at the Contemporary you would take the bus to MK and then walk, bus, or monorail to the Contemporary. Walking is actually the quickest option for that one. ok,,,thanks..now what about other parks??????we are getting park hopper tickets.....what happens if we leave AK and wanna go to MK or EPCOT?,,,and so on,,,,,TIA!!!!!n also EDITED TO ADD>>>>.........do the buses go to Downtown Disney,,also......once bus drops us off at say..AK,,,do we just walk to gate ir do we need another way to get in,,,this goes foe MGM too......

Depending on which park you are in and which one you want to get to, there are two options.

From MGM or AK to any other park, you can get a direct bus at the bus depot. Just look for the sign that has the name of the park you want to go to. If you're at MK and want to go to Epcot (or vice versa) you just take the monorail.

If you're adventurous, you can walk from Epcot to MGM...but there is also boat service from Epcot to MGM and vice versa.

We use nothing but WDW transportation, have never rented a car while staying on site at WDW. Over the years there have been only a few times when we waited as much as 20 minutes. Their transportation system is very good. IMHO

Yes, buses take you to DTD as well. When the bus drops you at any park, it is pretty close to the entrance of the park, just walk right in!

As a former AS guest, I can tell you that they will have their own bus and will take you directly to the park of your choice. And with your locale, you are not too far away from those resorts you mentioned by bus. It is more of a drive (distance-wise by bus) to the MK and Epcot, so it sounds just fine. Don't worry!!!
