Ok- I've been reading about codes and rates for months now, but I'm still confused-should I have made a room reservation already, and plan to make another when a code comes out? or just wait for the code, and then make a reservation?
it's for January,not a terribly busy time-I see many have made res. already,but I haven't yet-
thanks in advance for any help-

No help? c'mon..... I am confused....you dis'ers have all the answers,right?

i think this is a personal decision. are you looking to stay a particular resort? Or are you looking for the best deal?

If you want to stay at a particul resort, or a particular view at a deluxe, I would book it now so that you know you have that resort for sure, even if it means paying rack rate.

If you are looking for the best deal, and know that you won't pay rack rate, then I would just wait for the code to come out and then see what's available. Just know that you'll probably be witing until November for a code to come out.

The reality is when codes come out, all the resorts aren't always available for all of the dates. POFQ frequentlly sells out quickly of discounted rooms. I was able to snatch up two rooms at POFQ for my dates in aug the morning the AP rates came out. Late that day, there were no more rooms available for my dates. Just keep this in mind when making your decision.

Good luck!

oh,ok...good to know- I was just thinking about a room at pop century,or similiar, not picky, just to try it out for a night or 2.......
