Dumb question: Can you buy preferred annual pass at the gate?

You don't have to buy ahead of time on-line, do you? Also, I booked an AP rate, they said as long as I show it at some point during the stay, I'm ok. (I want to check in before going to the park, so that we get our express pass keys.) Does this sound correct?

You can purchase the AP's at the gate. You would pay at the ticket window and then head to Guest Services so they can process it. The pass will activate when you enter the park.
