Dumb question, but what exactly is considered a premium ticket?

I booked my package stay with 6 days park hopper/ magic plus option and the phone agent told me it is considered a premium ticket purchase. Does this mean anything? Do I get something extra for this? I was looking at the price guide and it seems to be like only $3.00 extra per person for 7 day tickets. Is it worth it? Can I always add the no expiration date at a later time?

It sounds a little like someone's charging you a premium for buying your tickets for you...

Premium MYW ticket -- one with both hopping and plus pack, but may or may not have non-expiration.

Premium here to me is confusing. There are just 3 options you can add, hopping, plusses, and non-expiration and Premium means having two particular options. Premium would make more sense if and when there were more kinds of things (two at a time fastpass anyone?) you could put on a ticket and when premium meant having all of the options.

Additional days themselves, above five, cost about three dollars apiece regardless of whether the ticket is premium.

You can add extra days, non-expiration, etc. anytime, up to 6 (13?) days after you start using the ticket.
