Dumb question about strollers...

Can we not check our stroller at the airport when we check our bags? I'd like to keep our stroller with us, considering DCL will be handling our luggage, and I don't want to be caught without the stroller for long. Will they let us roll it down the walkway to the plane door and give it to them to put somewhere?

yes, you should be able to "gate check" your stroller as you enter the plane. That way you have it until the moment you actually get on the plane and the moment you get off

When the two in my photos below were younger, this was a LIFESAVER. Especially the year I traveled to Washington DC alone (15 and 27 months old at the time were the kids) and met about 15 of my closest (cyber) friends with their children. But that's a story for another time....

That was how I did last time when I went to Orlando from Toronto. We did not check our stroller in. Instead, we took it with us all the way before we stepped on the plane.

However, I do have another question this time as I am planning to get on the cruise: can the regular stroller (not the umbrella one) be fit under the bed in the stateroom?

Anyone can help?

All the airlines that we have been on since our son was born (he's three now) have allowed us to take the stroller to the gate. We ask the attendant at the gate checkin desk to tag our stroller and then we wheel it down the jetway as we board the plane. Fold it up and leave it by the entrance of the plane. They will put it in the luggage storage under the plane.
When you come off the plane it will be waiting for you.

The full size stroller we borrowed aboard ship we folded up and stored overnight in our closet. Even with a closet FULL of clothes, the stroller fit. Under the bed would be better though...we'll have to try that next month.
