Dumb question about DDP-Dec 2-8

I'm doing the dining plan for 6 days. I understand they say you get one counter service meal, a snack, and a dinner. I've pretty much mapped out our preferences for our dinners, but are there counter service equivalents for breakfast? I'm just trying to figure out how to maximize the value of getting the biggest bang for my buck for the counter service meal, whether it be for our lunch or breakfast. I'm pretty much planning on using the table service meals in the evenings.

Is it just me, or does there seem to be a low value for the character breakfasts when you only consider the food?

Thanks for any suggestions you may have.

but I tried not to live & die by it. I read reviews here, and scoured allearsnet.com for menus, and chose our TS based on FOOD. I also tried to know which CS were better, and they were, generally.

Character meals depend on you. They are often buffets which are a poor value, and they are rarely known for being REALLY good meals, food-wise. We did do BOMA (buffet) for the uniqueness and Ohana (family style). Otherwise we did full TS.

The only CS breakfast we did was at POP food court. Other than bakeries at the parks and food courts at the resorts, CS breakfast are a bit tough to find at the parks. Pizzafari does serve it at AK. We brought cereal bars & pop tarts to eat in our room (zone bars for me). We ate about 7AM daily, then did CS at 11-11:30, to beat the crowds & we were hungry by then! We did 5:30 ADRs most nights, so that worked for well for us w/ a midafternoon snack to tide us over. (kids were in bed by 9 most nights)

Personally we aren't pastry people. We did pick up a box of donuts for a CS credit at our food court every couple of days (THAT is a good CS value!); the kids enjoyed those more than the bars/pop tarts most mornings. And the POP CS breakfast was nothing exciting. I found CS lunch selections much better.
Favs were WPE at DTD, Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT, Electric Umbrella at EPCOT, Flame Tree at AK, Pecos Bills at MK (that fixins bar!!!). Wanted to try quiche at French bakery in EPCOT, but LONG line.

Enjoy!

By this statement, I hope you mean you've made ADR... advanced dining reservations?

I'm with Rylee in hoping that you made those ADRs!

Just curious how old are your kids. I like the idea of early morning and early nights!:lmao:

We rarely used a CS credit for breakfast either. If we did, we would get the huge combo meal at OPR at CBR and share. We also had a box of donuts in the room thanks to our snack credit. This would last us easily until our lunch. I was feeding four people on 1 CS breakfast & a snack. (donuts):goodvibes

ooooh! It's my 400th post! Yay!
