So my kids love all disney characters and of course we will need to get as many autographs as we can. :cheer2:
So I was thinking instead of the traditional "autograph book" we could purchase post cards of the different characters to have them sign. If there was one with all the princesses, they could each sign by their own picture. I think it would be great for our scrapbook, if they are availalbe BEFORE (like in our resort giftshop) we hit the streets of MK. What do ya'll think?

The only problem I see with this is possibly the coating on the front of the postcard. Either an ink pen won't write very well or a Sharpie will smear. Just something to consider. Other than that, I think it's a novel idea :)

There are markers called "Slick Writers" that will write on glossy surfaces and pictures without smearing - the dry instantly. I bought mine from QVC - but I'm sure you can find them in any scrapbooking section in any craft store. I know I've seen them at Michael's. The last time we went I bought as many stickers as I could find and then attached them in the autograph book each night so my non-readers would know whose signature was whose.

That sounds like a wonderful idea, only problem was that I didn't see very many postcards with anyone other than Mickey and Minnie. WDW doesn't have a huge assortment of postcards and they were the same ones at each of the stores we went in, which was almost all of them, because we scrapbook and wanted to use alot of postcards. I did see a large assortment of postcards (but I don't know what characters were on them, DH was in a hurry) at the Walmart at Kissimee (in the front of the store) which was about 15 minutes from Downtown Disney, near a back entrance to the World.

I think it sounds like a great idea!

Thought I would offer a couple more ideas, in case you don't find the post cards you want.

When we did our trip in 2004 (first for DH and my girls who were 5 and 7), we did the autograph book - one for each DD. Then, when I came back, I went to copier and copied the autographs so that I could put the autograph next to the photo with that character in my scrapbook.

The next idea was big fun -

I got this idea from somewhere on the DISBoards.

I bought each kid a Disney t-shirt (on sale) prior to going to FL. I bought bright colored fabric markers (at Walmart. I think).

We took a super hard piece of cardboard and rubberbanded the t-shirt onto the cardboard.

We did take up more than our fair share of time in the character greeting lines -due to having 2 t-shirts and 2 autograph books signed.

But we had great souvenirs that we could use instead of stare at.

The tshirts were really worth it.

Enjoy your trip, and have fun scrapbooking!
