Dumb Newbie Question -- Help, please?

I can't seem to find this information anywhere, and believe me, I've looked!

So, self and DH are rather more nocturnal than many people and since we don't have kids, I suspect that we'll be taking advantage of the late-night stuff that goes on at WDW BUT we don't have our own transportation and will rely on Disney's boats, busses and monorails to get us to and fro.

If the parks close and we head to, say, the Boardwalk for an evening's entertainment, then have to get back to our resort -- Carribean Beach -- are we stuck walking? Or taking a taxi?

It seems like we can take a bus to a park and from there there's a whole array of options, but only so long as the parks are open.

What do we do when the parks are closed and we need to get from one place to another? Or from say, the Boardwalk to our resort?

Help would be appreciated. I never thought about this until now because I didn't think it would be an issue (I figured we'd just go back to our resort once the parks closed, but . . . maybe not, now), but now it's something I have to think about.

TIA,

You always have the option of going to DTD any time before 2:00AM and switching to the CBR bus.

Since PI has closed (almost a year now :sad1:) the DTD buses have been going to BW late at night and taking guests to whatever resort they are staying at. You might even see 2 or 3 of them just sitting at BW.

If the above is not happening that night, always let the DTD bus driver know where you are going and he might be able to make a detour if no other guests are on the bus.

Mickeep is correct. At the very least the Boardwalk bus will take you to DTD where you can connect to the final bus of the night to your resort. But sometimes they'll drive direct to your resort depending on how many people there are. In the case of the Boardwalk clubs, usually not many. :-(

If you used to like PI, you should really look into a night over at Universal's Citywalk. I cover various club options at www.savepleasureisland.blogspot.com

Thanks for the tips, I didn't know some of the transportation ran late. Sorry to give a misleading statement -- I have never been to WDW as an adult and DH didn't go to PI on his last trip 15 years ago, so we wouldn't know about that whole aspect. My apologies for making it seem that way!

In fact, all I remember from my trip as a child was the Magic Kingdom . . . and that Epcot was the big New Thing . . .and that they used the monorail as actual *transportation* and not as a ride itself. I very much enjoyed Epcot and I can't wait to see the new stuff they've added.

Now, however, almost 30 years later I still probably wouldn't be all that into the stuff that I've heard Pleasure Island had, but things like piano bars or jazz clubs may well be just the thing. :thumbsup2

I hear that there's a nice place on the Boardwalk, and I'll be going there after-hours to meet up with some of you nice DIS folks, hence my question.

(I'm reading these boards as fast as I can, there's only 5 days left until we get there and there's so much information to process!)

Thanks for the tips, I will write them down and take them with me!
