Today is day 179 of the first touring day of our trip. I was wondering if we needed to go ahead and book for Donald's Safari Breakfast at AK? Do you have to have your trip booked or anything? (we haven't booked yet). Also, is that one of the ones you have to make a deposit for, or can you just make the ressie? See? Newbie questions. :rolleyes1

I have the same questions about the Princess Breakfast at Epcot.

You should be able to call 407-WDW-DINE to make the reservations. I don't believe that you have to have booked the trip already. I am not sure if you have to give the credit card info, but seeing that they are both character meals I am going to say to be prepared to do so!

have to have your trip booked to make an ADR. The CM will often ask if you have your resort ressie yet but that doesn't impact your ability to get an ADR. ADRS are usually linked to a phone number. This allows locals or people staying offsite to get ADRs also.

Should you book now? If you know what day and time you want to go then why not. It's one less thing to worry about in the future. You have the option of changing the ADR in the future if slots are open.

Some time slots and restaurants are harder to get the further you get past the 180 day mark. I really don't know how hard ADRs are for the Tusker House breakfast. A friend recently was able to call and get a couple of different times while already at the parks. I can't say that will always happen though.

Since you haven't booked the hotel yet, you'll have to wait exactly 180 days from the day you want to eat there. Last we did it, a CC was not required for this location. This location is VERY popular, so I would book it ASAP to also ensure you get the time you want.

The 180 day mark is based on when you want your ADR not your arrival date unless you already have your reservations then it is 180 days from your check in date (and up to 10 days after). ;)

I would definitely book the Safari breakfast if you want it. I called at the 180 day mark yesterday, and, aside from CRT, it was the only one that I couldn't get when I wanted.
