Dumb Flying Question

I know this is a stupid question so please don't laugh. I hate to fly and I have not flown since I had kids. We always drive. We are going to disney in January and thinking about flying since it is soooo cheap. My question is what do you do when you get there about a car seat. We are going to Universal one day so I guess we would take a taxi to get there. Do they have carseats for my 3 year old? Can you request this? And getting from the airport to disney....what is the best and cheapest way?

You would be better asking this question on the Transportation Board. They have lots of information there about transportation to and from the airport as well as getting from WDW to other parks and whatnot. Hope you find your answer.

We usually travel with our seats, but we did use a limosine service one time that supplied seats for us.

I always feel better having my own car seat. The airlines check them just like a bag but it does not count toward your 2 bag maximum. Then when you arrive, you get your car seat, hook it in the car and off you go.

We are a family of 4 and have found that it usually comes out to same cost to rent a car rather than pay for round trip trans with any of the car services. Since we have been staying on site lately, parking is free. Having the rental car also gives us the added freedom to explore. But that just works best for us. I am sure others will give you lots of opinions.

I do like the Town Car service. We've used Tiffany Town Car twice and it was $80-90 round trip, which was cheaper than if our entire group took the Mears Shuttle. Tiffany Town Car provided car seats, a free grocery stop, and, the best part, they meet you at the baggage claim and haul your luggage to the town car.

If you are going to Universal, a rental car may be the way to go.
