dumb computer quest

ok I'm going batty here! My tool bar is set somehow to only show up when I hover over it. I want it to be there all the time - how can I bring it back?

AND my start tool bar is now on the far left instead of the bottom - I know I've moved it before back - but I don't remember how the heck I did it!

Can you help me please?

Right click on the task bar and adjust the properties (loac, always show, etc.).

The start menu can be dragged to you desired location (I think).

you mean the task bar?

right click and make sure the taskbar is unchecked, then drag where you want it to be. Right click again and check the lock taskbar, it shouldn't move as easily now.

Right click any open area of the tool bar (ie not where you have a program box running)

Then click the bottom line that says properties

Then you will see a box in upper left that says auto-hide. Be sure that it is NOT checked off.

Then click apply

If you can't move your task bar start button back to default setting, do the same as above and uncheck "lock the taskbar". Click apply and move taskbar where you like. Go back and check lock the taskbar and click apply to keep it from being moved again in the future.

Thanks so much! Yep it was the task bar I was meaning & the one @ the top of the page (I was thinking it was the tool bar -gee I'm clueless!)

the one @ the top fixed itself when I shut down earlier.
