I've seen DH, DW, DS & DD used frequently, and suspect the second letters stand for husband, wife, son & daughter. Anyone want to (kindly!) explain the "D"??? Dear &/or Disney come to mind.

Good guess and you are correct. It can be either Dear or Disney, whichever interpretation you want.
